Cro is an award-winning German rapper, singer and producer whose distinctive feature, his alter-ego, is a panda bear mask.

The design for his “Stay Tru” tour was created in collaboration with German designer Clemens Loeffelholz von Colberg. The production design was based on Cro’s vision of having his famous mask as a central element on stage. This led to a set design that consisted of a white oversized origami-style 3D-structure rising from the ground. Reduced video content was mapped onto its white surfaces of the stage set to highlight the structure even more. The lighting design accentuated the edges and angles but was mainly focused on creating an open space to let the monumental panda bear structure take over as the central feature of the production design.
